Kawsay Solutions is a San Francisco based organization that aims to improve life in rural impoverished areas of the world. Kawsay(cow-psy) means "living" in Aymara, one of Bolivia's native languages, directly reflecting our philanthropic philosophy. Through the human centered design process we intend to meet multiple needs in one repurposable product. By creating strategic partnerships with local manufacturers, government organizations, NGO's and non-profits, the goal is to form a basis for long term solutions.
It is estimated that there are 2.2 billion children in the world, of which one billion are directly affected by poverty and hunger, this motivated the development of the Kawsay Kit.
